Pharmacological properties:
The drug is used in dermatology. It disrupts DNA synthesis and inhibits the formation of nucleic acids. The drug affects many anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, as a result of which it provides effective and targeted therapy.
Indications:
Recommended for local use for treating inflammatory papules, pustules and erythema (acne rosacea, acne vulgaris).
Directions and dosage:
The ointment is applied in a thin layer 1-2 times a day after washing the skin with warm water or chamomile decoction;
The drug can be used for 1-2 months. Clinical improvement is expected after the first three weeks of treatment.
Side effects:
Rarely transient redness, slight dryness of the skin, itching and tightness locally. Systemic adverse reactions are not observed.
Contraindications:
* Hypersensitivity to metronidazole.
Special instructions:
After using the drug, avoid contact with the mucous membrane of the eyes and protect the skin from direct sunlight.
Interaction with other drugs:
There is a theoretical possibility of enhancing the effect of oral anticoagulants.
Storage conditions: The medicine is stored at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Shelf life: 2 years.
