RINOTHEISS SPRAY
Pharmacological properties:
Xylometazoline belongs to the group of topical vasoconstrictors (decongestants) with alpha-adrenomimetic activity, causes narrowing of blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, thereby extinguishes nasal congestion, nasal congestion, nasal congestion, hyperpigmentation and hyperpigmentation of the nasal mucosa.
The action of the drug begins within a few minutes of its use and lasts up to 10 hours.
Pharmacokinetics:
When used topically, the drug is practically not absorbed, so the concentration in blood plasma is very small (not determined by joint analytical methods).
Indications:
Used in acute respiratory diseases with acute rhinitis (acute) events, acute allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and otitis media (as part of combination therapy to reduce nasal congestion), to facilitate rhinoscopy.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to xylometazoline, hypertension, tachycardia, pronounced atherosclerosis, glaucoma, atrophic rhinitis, hyperthyroidism, history of surgery on the membranes of the brain (history), pregnancy, lactation, age 6.
The drug should not be used during therapy with MAO and tricyclic antidepressants. Caution - in diabetes.
Method of use and dosage:
Unless otherwise indicated, in adults and children over 6 years of age: 1 spray in each nest (can be repeated if necessary); Usually, 3-4 sprays a day are enough.
Important:
Do not increase the recommended dose! This is especially true for elderly patients and children.
Thanks to the presence of a spraying device, Dr. Thais Rhinotais is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the nasal mucosa. For better distribution of the drug, the vial should be in a vertical position above the nose. The nose of the vial is placed alternately in each nest, the drug is sprayed once with a sharp bed on the spray. Air is inhaled through the nose at the moment of spraying.
If there is no improvement after the course of treatment, for example in the case of chronic inflammation of the nasal mucosa, the drug can be continued only after consultation with your doctor.
Do not use the drug continuously for more than 5 days.
Side effects:
Frequent and/or prolonged use - irritation and/or dryness of the nasal mucosa, burning, tingling, wheezing, hypersecretion; Rare - swelling of the nasal mucosa, vomiting, headache, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, insomnia, impaired vision, depression (with prolonged use of large doses).
Overdose:
Symptoms: Exacerbation of side effects.
Treatment: Symptomatic, under the supervision of a physician.
Interaction with other medicinal products:
Systemic action may be enhanced by concomitant use of MAO inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants.
Special instructions:
Can not be used for a long time, for example, in chronic rhinitis.
Driving and using machines:
Using xylometazoline in higher doses than recommended may affect the ability to drive and use machines.
